Houston Area Community Services (established 1998) is a not-for-profit enterprise that provides affordable, quality medical care, pharmacy, behavioral health, and support services to individuals and families residing in Harris County and surrounding areas.

The Health Resources Services Administration (HRSA) designates the agency as a Federally Qualified Healthcare Center (FQHC). This designation allows HACS to provide all healthcare services on a sliding scale fee basis to assist individuals and families who experience a financial hardship. The Joint Commission accredits the agency's ambulatory medical care and behavioral health services programs. These accreditations ensure that HACS continues to provide quality services by meeting or surpassing national benchmarks for healthcare services.
